Sturgis, S.D., Dec. 11—The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame is happy to announce our Youth Build and Lonnie’s Heart Scholarship program. In 2019, senior high school students from the northern Black Hills will be invited to participate in a co-ed Youth Build Program sponsored by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame.
This program will be instructed under the leadership of Hall of Fame inductees, along with local recognized experts in the field of motorcycle parts manufacturing and custom bike builds. The students will be required to have passing grades and must be present at school, much like the athletic programs, to be eligible for the Youth Build Program.
The program will begin mid January and will be held in Sturgis on select weeknights with possible Saturdays. The students will be rated on a variety of criteria like how much they contribute to the project and attitude. The highest ranked students will be granted scholarships.
Students can apply at www.sturgismuseum.com. The deadline to apply is January 11, 2019.
Thank you for supporting this program!
