Arizona Bike Week is one of the primary rallies that kick off each riding season. This year, AZBW takes place March 29-April 2, with its central hub again being the huge WestWorld complex in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Last year’s event featured the FXR Friends Throwdown, a competition of sorts among several notable bike builders who created custom bikes built on Harley-Davidson’s revered FXR platform. Stellar steeds were built by Paul Yaffe (Bagger Nation), Jason Mook (Deadwood Custom Cycles), Brian Klock (Klock Werks), Jeff Zielinski (NAMZ Custom Cycle Products), Curtis Hofmann (Hofmann Designs), and Nick Trask (Trask Performance), among several others.

For 2023, many of the same group will be back at it again, this time with a Chopper Friends Throwdown to bring back the old-school cool of choppers. And once again, the event will be sponsored by Law Tigers.
“We are thrilled that our rally has been chosen as the location for the ride-in reveal of the Friends Throwdown for the second year in a row,” said Kristina Anderson from AZBW. “This year promises to deliver even more spectacular eye candy. With the countless different directions these creative geniuses can take in creating a chopper, the sky’s the limit. We can’t wait to see these masterpieces roll into WestWorld on Thursday, March 30. They should arrive about 5:00 p.m., just in time for happy hour!”
The Chopper Friends Throwdown will have 15 custom choppers assembling in Winslow, Arizona, for a ride into Arizona Bike Week 2023. New additions this year will come from Tom Keefer (Franklin Church Choppers), Justin Umbs (Stellar Cycles), and Ryan Gore (Paper Street Customs). The bikes will be displayed in the Chopper Friends Throwdown Corral in WestWorld.
Additionally, Arizona Bike Week will have factory demo rides by Harley-Davidson and Indian, stunt shows, and contests like the All-Out Dyno Drags and a tattoo competition. Nightly concerts will feature Texas Hippie Coalition, Billy Idol, Megadeth, Staind, and others.
