Editor’s Note: With Sturgis being such a wild and expansive event, it is impossible to cover it in one coherent story. So, Thunder Press approached the rally by interviewing numerous individuals to get their stories. Look for a series of vignettes published online throughout September!

While the friendly brothels have long been shuttered and the smell of Sulphur (with a hint of urine) from six-shooters has been replaced by cigar smoke, gasoline and exhaust, hell-raisers continue to flock to the historic city of Deadwood, lining their beautiful Harleys along brick-paved streets. Two-wheelers do a great job of keeping the Wild West alive, paying homage to Deadwood’s Gold Rush-era visitors and residents like Wyatt Earp, Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hickock.
