Harley-Davidson Teases New Revolution Powered Model
The Revolution Max 1250 V-Twin from the Pan America will soon power a new H-D model.

Harley-Davidson is following up the successful launch of its exciting new Pan America with the upcoming debut of a sporty roadster featuring the bodacious Revolution Max 1250 engine from the Pan Am.

“Following the successful launch of our first adventure-touring motorcycle, the Pan America, we are excited to reveal another all-new motorcycle, built on the Revolution Max platform in the sport segment, showcasing unmatched Harley-Davidson technology, performance and style,” said Jochen Zeitz, chairman, president, and CEO Harley-Davidson.

The new bike has a version of the Pan America’s 150-horsepower V-Twin, but we know little else about it, including its name. Full details won’t be revealed until July 13 when it will be unveiled at an online event called  “From Evolution to Revolution,” which will include presentations by Harley-Davidson leadership and the product experts responsible for the new sporty bike. You can take in the virtual launch experience by registering at H-D.com/JulyReveal.

Harley-Davidson Teases New Revolution Powered Model

From what we can see in the teaser image, the new bike appears similar to the Custom 1250 concept shown early this year, particularly the upswept exhaust and its necessary heat shielding and its flat and thinly padded seat.

Stay tuned to Thunder Press for all the details as they’re announced, plus a ride report of the new bike once we take it for a spin in the latter part of July.

  1. The new 1250 engine will make this bike absolutely rip! I have test ridden the new motor in the Pan America and found it is a real arm stretching monster, very much unlike any previous stock engine from HD.

Unfortunately, I also hate the fact that it looks like I will have to immediately replace that very thin seat shown in the preliminary pictures to be able to ride this for any distance farther other than to the nearest branch of Starbucks.

Hopefully, HD will offer a choice of far more well padded seats for this model like it does on the Pan America.

I also hope that HD does not charge new buyers extra for this very necessary change.

  2. I realize that the Pan America is an adventure bike, which really intrigues me, but seriously, a more heavily padded seat. Someone (HD or otherwise) need to produce something for shorter inseam individuals, I’m a 29″ inseam. Some how we need to get our feet on the ground when at a standstill. Granted, the squatting suspension helps but needs to have a greater range of impact on seat height (you shouldn’t have to start the engine to make it squat) and speed of application and be more user friendly.

  3. Wouldn’t it be great if H D made a middle weight touring bike to compete with the BMW R1250RT. I absolutely love my Street Glide, but 615lbs, is a lot easier stationary than 827. I keep hoping.
