Sound investment
Harley-Davidson’s new Boom! Audio High Performance Bagger Fairing Speakers are handsome waterproof plug-and-play replacement units for the stock speakers in the Advanced Audio Systems on 2006-present Electra Glide and Trike models, and a worthwhile investment for in-the-wind audiophiles. Featuring a two-way design complete with grill-mounted tweeters, the Boom! system delivers 25 percent more output than the stock setup at any given volume setting, making for enhanced clarity and fidelity on the road. They come complete with electronic crossovers and quick-install wiring connections for an easy swap, and sell for $149.95 a pair. That’s a lot of Boom! for your buck.

The new Women’s Colorblocked Functional Jacket from Harley-Davidson MotorClothes is definitely not for the shrinking violets among the sisterhood. Featuring lurid Hey-look-at-me! graphics including a positively lascivious kitty on the back, this garment is designed for women who don’t just want to arrive at an event, they want to make an entrance. There’s more than flamboyance here, though, as the jacket is loaded with functional features starting with its water-resistant nylon construction and adding pre-curved sleeves, zippered cuffs, four zippered air vents, four zippered pockets and adjustable waist tabs. There are also pockets in the elbows and shoulders for adding optional FXRG body armor. The only thing that’s not flashy about the Colorblocked Jacket is its economical $175 price tag.

Hot link
As popular as it’s become to replace the simple stock Harley shift rod with a fancy billet unit, it’s really only half the job. To finish off the custom shift linkage transformation, Softbrake offers these beefy CNC-machined Billet Softail Shift Arms. These shift arms replace the single-piece stock part with a two-piece assembly that’s easy to install and adjust and has the added advantage of being supplied with your choice of either a heel/toe or toe-only shift arm. That simplifies and sanitizes matters for those who prefer to do away with the intrusive and unnecessary heel shifter. They’re available in both chrome and black powdercoat, and retail for $120 and $130 respectively.

Flat’s where it’s at
For many years now, Lindby Customs has set the standard for quality and function in custom engine guards with incorporated highway pegs. Their designs are hard to improve upon, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be updated to keep up with contemporary fashion trends, and so it is that the company’s taken note of the flat-black finishing craze and responded by offering this Flat Black Powdercoat Linbar as an alternative to their traditional chrome plating. The price remains the same at $349.95, and they’ll fit any 1997–present Harley-Davidson Tourer model.

Biker’s dozen
The folks at MotorClothes call it the Men’s Bold 12-in-1 Jacket, but that name hardly does it justice. The way we see it, it’s more than merely a “jacket,” it’s a complete “jacket system.” The foundation of the system is essentially a heavy reversible vest, one that you can tailor to your mood or riding conditions by adding the detachable sleeves and hood, which are also reversible. There are indeed a dozen different distinct garment possibilities in all. One side of the system is constructed of gray cotton canvas and the other is a black cotton/nylon blend. Both sides are adorned with “bold” embroidery and sport a pair of zippered hand warmer pockets. Rib-knit fabric at the cuffs and waistband help seal out the breeze. The price for this virtual wardrobe is just $195—which works out to $16.25 per style variation.
