The new Air Wing Brake Caliper and Rotor Cover from Harley-Davidson adds massive shine to the front wheel assembly of any Touring model. The rotor covers surround each brake disc while the caliper covers dress up the stock painted units with a splash of chrome and a subtle Bar & Shield logo etched into the surface. The kit includes all needed mounting hardware and installation does not require removal of the brake lines. The full kit, with both left and right-hand covers, carries a price of $199.95. The caliper covers can be installed without the rotor covers and retail for $89.95 for the pair.

After nearly 70 years in the business, the name Wiseco has become synonymous with performance products, especially pistons. Adding to that reputation, Wiseco now offers complete top end rebuild kits in their V-Twin Piston Line. Available for 1200cc Sportsters, Buell 1200s and both 88″ and 96″ Twin Cams, Wiseco pistons are machined from dedicated forgings, producing light weight combined with superior strength. Additional features include pressure grooves for maximum ring seal and chrome plated piston pins using a horizontal oiling slot. Friction is reduced on some models by the use of Wiseco’s ArmorGlide skirt coating, a permanent coating that generally lasts for the life of the piston. Pricing varies depending upon application.

Shocking stability
In 1988, RICOR Racing Shocks addressed the compromises that have always plagued traditional shock absorbers. They determined that the ideal shock would respond to chassis movement and wheel motion with two separate valving circuits. To that end, they recently introduced their patented interia-activated system, The Intiminator. The Intiminator is currently offered in 39mm, 41mm and 49mm sizes to fit stock Harley front ends. Installation is a simple process of draining the fork oil, removing the spring, dropping The Intiminator down the fork tube and replacing the oil and spring. Race-quality results include improved stability, increased cornering performance, a reduction in front brake dive, greater ability to absorb road bumps, faster braking and a smoother ride. List price is $298.94 for all three sizes.

Baffle with a brain
Love the sweet sound of your “questionably legal” exhaust pipes but get a sour taste when it comes time to sign the officer’s ticket book? Then Rocky Mountain Performance has just the product for you—their new Quiet Riot Auto Sensing Exhaust Baffles. Standard static baffles reduce decibel levels throughout a bike’s entire rpm range. The unique design of the Quiet Riot units provides a noise reduction while at idle and slow cruising speeds but becomes less restrictive at higher rpms, providing that much-desired growl at highway speeds. They slip into your existing pipe and are secured with a single bolt. Available to fit most exhaust pipe sizes, they list for $169 a pair or $129 for a single unit suitable for 2-into-1 systems.

Smooth sailing
The brainiacs at National Cycle have developed a new windshield they promise to be revolutionary. And they should know a little something about bikes and windscreens—they’ve been building them since 1937. Their latest product, the VStream, fights the buffeting produced by a majority of other windshield manufacturers, a phenomenon called the van Karman vortex. The van Karman effect occurs at speeds of 50–90 mph as the air swirls off a typical windshield in 90-degree segments of rotation, then hits the rider’s neck and curves off the shoulder at approximately 45 degrees. (That’s why your beard is blown forward when riding behind a windshield at higher speeds.) The VStream has a patented “V” shape that forces this vortex out and away from the side of the rider’s head, resulting in noticeable quietness and increased comfort. Manufactured from a durable Lexan polycarbonate that has received a hardcoating, there are four heights available to fit 1996 and later FLHT, FLHX and FLTR touring Harleys.

Sound warning
Many riders attest that the most important safety feature on a motorcycle is a quick throttle. Others swear it’s massive illumination or superior braking. And then there’s the “loud pipes save lives” crowd. With stringent noise regulations being enacted nationwide, that option may well fall to the wayside before long. Want to make some noise and be noticed? Then strap on Pro Pad’s new Mini Beast 3. The MB3 is a self-contained air horn designed to complement the stock air filter cover on Twin Cam 88″ motors. Using your existing horn button, wiring and stock horn mounting bracket, the MB3 blasts out an alarming 128 decibels, definitely making your presence known. Carrying an MSRP of $189.95, it’s available in chrome, gloss black or a wrinkle black finish and comes with a one-year replacement warranty.

Grocery hauler
Up until now, if you were the owner of a Rocker C Harley, your capability to carry extra gear has been limited due to the rear fender design. Harley’s new Detachable Solo Luggage Rack was conceived to alleviate this problem by mounting in the same location as the Trick-Seat on that model. Machined from aluminum and then chrome plated, the solo rack features slots to aid in tying down your possessions while retaining a stylish look. It is installed in seconds without the aid of tools and can be stored in the pocket that normally houses the passenger seat under the rider’s seat. It fits all 2008 and later H-D Rocker C models and retails for $199.95.
