The 2025 Indian Scout lineup announced earlier this year includes five Scout models, all with a different flavor but each supporting the Scout’s lineage and the desire of many to use the Scout as a platform for customization. To showcase the customization potential of the Scout, Indian Motorcycle has launched its Forged custom build series of videos that highlight three interpretations of the 2025 Indian Scout that will be revealed over the course of six videos.
The first creator highlighted by the Indian Motorcycle Forged custom build series was Roland Sands of Roland Sands Design, and you can watch the first Forged video here. The second video is now available, featuring Birttney Olsen, champion American antique motorcycle racer and founder of 20th Century Racing.
Olsen grew up around machine tools in her father’s fabrication workshop. From a young age, she wanted a future in racing and restoration. When she met dragrace legend Shirley Muldowney, that dream was cemented as Muldowney showed her that women could race too and told Olsen that she could be whatever she wanted to be.
In the video, Roland Sands travels to South Dakota to visit Olsen’s home and learn more about her plans for customizing the Indian Sport Scout. Olsen explains that her inspiration for customizing the Scout came from women riders of the 1940s and 1950s, particularly images of Cecilia Adams.

Olsen leads Sands through her museum-like house filled with vintage motorcycles to her basement, where she is working on customizing the Scout and transforming it into an antique-inspired machine. She explains the changes she wants to make, like swapping for a girder front end, extending the rear fender, and using a cut-down Chief tank for the classic teardrop tank style.
This video is the second of six in the Indian Motorcycle Forged series. The third build video will feature Ronna Nolen of Unique Custom Cycles. Later in the year, Indian will release final reveal videos of these three custom Indian Scouts.
