It’s nearly spring, which means the American OEs are springing plenty of new motorcycles on us. And hey, we love that.
Harley-Davidson recently dropped two new bikes in our mailboxes, a CVO Road Glide and a 30th Anniversary Fat Boy, while Indian teased us with photos and information on its new Roadmaster Elite and the FTR Rally.
According to H-D, the CVO Road Glide is said to offer the “ultimate combination of premier style, thrilling performance and ride-enhancing technology in a touring motorcycle.” The features go to eleven on this one (and should for $40,000) and include a massive electronics array and exclusive-to-CVO Milwaukee-Eight 117 (1923cc) cubic-inch power. The 30th Anniversary Fat Boy, cloaked in dark finishes and powered by a blacked-out Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine, will be limited to 2500 examples, each serialized with a number plate affixed to the fuel tank console. SRP? $21,949. See Harley-Davidson.com for more info.
Indian’s Roadmaster Elite returns to the lineup in 2020 with a limited production of 225 motorcycles and a $38,999 price tag. As Indian’s premier tourer, the Elite is said to deliver a “one-of-a-kind touring experience.” Powered by the Thunder Stroke 116 V-twin, the 2020 model pairs modern touring amenities with iconic Indian Motorcycle styling.
Indian teased even more with news of its $13,499 FTR1200 Rally, a “scrambler-inspired FTR1200 that combines retro styling with modern performance capabilities.” Click indianmotorcycle.com for more information.
