Salem, Mass., Oct. 15—It was a chilly start, but that didn’t keep riders from showing up and filling up the front lot at Boston Harley for the annual MDA Halloween Witch Ride to Salem, Massachusetts. Registration officially began at 9:00 a.m., but by then hundreds of Halloween-adorned bikes were lined up in front of the Boston Harley-Davidson dealership in Revere, Massachusetts.

Folks from Vermont, South Carolina, New York, and all over Massachusetts made the annual trek for the ride this year. Pumpkinhead rode again this year, however my fan didn’t work, so my costume was a bit deflated, but not my enthusiasm.

Although the fundraising tally is still not done because donations are still trickling in from all kinds of sources, Boston H.O.G. has exceeded last year’s donations by about $10,000; and the total number of bikes participating was 2,100.

We hope to see you next year on the ride!
