From saloons to cliff jumping, Scott Thiede and fellow motorcycle cowboys celebrate Sturgis

Riding to Sturgis from Colorado. Once there, Scott faced a problem. “My 16-inch apes broke a weld,” he told us. “No one had new bars in stock for my 2005 Road Glide. My bars were wiggling and ready to break off – I was screwed. I called Black Hawk Custom V-Twin out of Black Hawk, SD and they dropped everything and got me in. They saved my trip, so a big shout-out to those guys!”

Cliff jumping at Pactola Lake was a highlight,” according to Scott. “The views were amazing and the water refreshing. It was so nice to do something different and get off the bikes for an afternoon.”

Thunder Press will be publishing stories and photos submitted by readers throughout the month of September to celebrate the 80th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
