Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine has prompted several American companies to back away from their dealings with Russia as a show of support for Ukraine. Harley-Davidson joined the chorus on March 1, announcing it would suspend its business with Russia, which has roughly 10 H-D dealerships.
“In light of the crisis in Ukraine, Harley-Davidson has suspended its business in Russia and all shipments of its bikes to the country,” said a MoCo spokesperson in light of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. “Our thoughts continue for the safety of the people of Ukraine and those impacted by the crisis.”
The Motor Company is just one of many Western companies to join the economic isolation of Russia. Further details have not yet been released.
