Arlen Ness Memorial Award also on the Quail docket

On May 16, the Quail Motorcycle Gathering returns for the 12th time to the Monterey Peninsula, where it will honor a pair of motorcycling and American V-Twin legends – Harley-Davidson’s XR750 and custom builder extraordinaire Arlen Ness.
The XR750, as most know, is one of – if not the – most dominant racing motorcycle the world has ever known, racking up innumerable wins and championships over a nearly 50-year run in professional flat track competition. It was also the bike of choice for Robert Craig ‘Evel’ Knievel in the latter years of his storied career. The Quail will also honor the legacy of Arlen Ness by presenting the inaugural Arlen Ness Memorial Award to a custom motorcycle builder of note. As always, the show happens on the pristine lawns of the Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel, California. Aside from hundreds of legendary motorcycles on display, the event also features a variety of activities, including food and beverage and goods from motorcycle lifestyle vendors. New this year are General Public tickets at $55, which include parking and gear valet service for those riding in, with upper-crust hospitality tickets starting at $90. As a Harley guy, I am biased. Would like to see Harley do a bike with a similar engine and suspension. Cause Indians are FUGLY !!!!!
