The women’s-only antique motorcycle event Chix at the Crossroads is now open for applications. The event is capped at 50 participants, so be sure to submit your application as soon as possible.

Chix at the Crossroads is an event for women who ride their own vintage motorcycle, and it’s organized by the Riveter Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. The ride begins June 15, 2024, in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, at the famous Wheels Through Time Museum. Then the ride continues for 1,200 miles and 14 days through North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Mississippi before ending in Memphis, Tennessee.

Priority is given to women with motorcycles 35 years or older, although those with newer motorcycles are welcome to apply. Registration requires current membership in the AMCA (yearly dues are $45) and the Riveter Chapter (yearly dues are $20). The event includes mechanical support during the ride, organized stops at local places or interest, a commemorative booklet, a swag package, route maps, and more.

Submitting an application for Chix at the Crossroads is free, but the price to participate has not yet been announced. The 2022 Chix on 66 event was priced at $500, and we assume the 2024 event will be similarly priced.

Nov. 15, 2023 – Let’s get this show on the road! The Riveter Chapter of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America is now accepting applications for the Chix at the Crossroads event to be held June 15-28, 2024. Space on this ride is limited, so if you are excited about participating and ready to sign up, please apply now! The Chix at the Crossroads event blends the riders’ passion for motorcycles with a passion for music, which will be explored experientially throughout the entire route. And like our 2022 ride, Chix on 66, this event represents classic Americana while offering a different perspective of our country’s heritage.

Throughout the route, riders will be steeped in the history of American music, deepening our appreciation for the pioneering spirit of the early self-expressionists that span many musical genres.
