Checking out some of the New Stuff from the annual American International Motorcycle Expo
They happen every year and have been happening for decades, in places like Cincinnati, Ohio, Indianapolis, Indiana and, more recently, in Orlando, Florida and, in 2019, Columbus, Ohio.
We’re talking about the annual motorcycle industry aftermarket/distributor shows, where aftermarket companies and original-equipment manufacturers link up with dealers, distributors and even regular-Joe customers on what’s new and what’s on the way for the coming riding season.
These shows used to happen in the early part of the year, just before Daytona, though these days they’re typically held in the fall. Regardless of when, these get-togethers always seem to add a nice element of excitement and anticipation to the coming good weather and riding season, even if they are several months in the future for upper-tier riders.
This year’s show, again under the American International Motorcycle show umbrella, took place in Columbus, Ohio, and while smaller than the gatherings experienced during the ’90s and the early part of the 2000s, it still packed an interesting punch for what’s in store for the coming riding season.
