Milwaukee, July 5—The Harley-Davidson Museum is preparing to host its annual birthday celebration as Wild Ones: Vintage Motorcycle Rally takes over the campus on July 8. Events throughout the weekend take visitors back in time to relive motorcycling history and family fun. But there’s no reason to wait until Saturday to take in the sights and sounds. Thursday’s Bike Night serves as the kick-start for the Wild Ones fun, but a walk through the special summer exhibit, “The Race of Gentlemen,” provides the perfect pairing for all things vintage.
Thursday, July 6
Bike Night, 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
All bikes unite at the Harley-Davidson Museum for Bike Night. Thursday’s Bike Night serves as the kick-start for the Wild Ones fun. In addition to the two-wheeled rolling sculptures that descend on campus every Thursday, the car club Wisco Maniacs will show off their classic rides. Plus, the Ives Brothers bring their stunt-riding skills to the famed Wall of Death, powered by Sailor Jerry. Live tunes from Chicken Wire Empire provides the soundtrack to this first Bike Night of July.
Saturday, July 8
Come celebrate motorcycle heritage with a vintage 1940s-style motorcycle rally at the H-D Museum. The 15th annual Knucklehead Company Reunion hosts an antique motorcycle ride-in show and the AMCA Badger Heritage Chapter hosts authentic motorcycle field games like the slow race and plank ride. The Ives Brothers Cycle will thrill the audience with Wall of Death Stunt Shows, powered by Sailor Jerry, and be sure to check out the special summer exhibit, “The Race of Gentlemen,” on display at the Museum through September 4.
Stick around for the after-party concert with live music from The Telltale Signs and special $10 after-hours admission into “The Race of Gentlemen.” With so much to see and do, plan to spend the day at the H-D Museum!
