Long Island City, New York – March 24, 2021 — — New York City Harley-Davidson, located just outside Manhattan, has been acquired by Paul Veracka, the fastest growing Harley group in the U.S.. “This is a unique opportunity with New York City Harley-Davidson being located in the largest metro in the United States“ said Paul. New York City Harley-Davidson is Paul’s third acquisition in the last 6 months. In December 2020, he purchased Brian’s Harley-Davidson in Langhorne, PA as well as Old Glory Harley-Davidson in Laurel, MD in September 2020.
Paul currently operates nine dealerships, with six of the Top 15 new bike volume dealerships in the world. Operating the highest sales volume dealerships in the US with an emphasis on a premium customer experience has allowed for the rapid expansion to continue. Veracka’s dealerships have been awarded multiple Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield Awards, PSB Power 50 Awards and Best Place to Work Awards over the years. Paul’s explosive growth has given current team members the opportunity for growth within the company as well as bring on more industry leaders to keep the Harley-Davidson brand at the forefront of the Powersports industry.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to grow the Harley-Davidson market share along with positively impacting the entire motorcycle community in New York City” says new owner, Paul Veracka.
“Industry leading, performance-based compensation plans allow me to attract and retain top talent in the industry. Our systems and procedures allow the average skilled performers to do a good job, and the highly skilled performers to do an outstanding job. We allocate resources in the right marketing channels and events to bring customers to the store, and then let the staff deliver a premium customer experience to keep them coming back for life. The teams are constantly achieving industry leading customer service and employee experience ratings,” says Paul. “The awards that our teams have won year over year are true testaments to the hard work we believe in and the commitment we have to our customers, communities, and employees” Veracka said.
“The strategy we implement on the dealership level has grown the Harley-Davidson market an average of 300% across all acquisitions over the past several years. This aligns with Harley-Davidson’s strategy of growing ridership as we introduce thousands of new Harley-Davidson riders each year to the brand. My partnership with Harley-Davidson has allowed me to continue expanding my company’s footprint while placing the most talented industry professionals in the biggest and best locations nationwide” Paul says.
This newest acquisition in New York City is a testament to Paul Veracka’s commitment to Harley-Davidson and its continued success for many years to come.
“I have an aggressive growth strategy with a business model to continue expanding into additional markets. This strategy has allowed me to pay over market value on these acquisitions as I continue acquiring dealerships. I typically finalize my deals in less than 30 days, whereas many buyers can often take over a year. Working directly with previous owner, Avi Jacobs, made for a seamless and smooth transaction. We were also able to come to a creative solution to allow Avi to continue operating the clothing location in Manhattan” Veracka stated.
New York City H-D’s previous owner, Avi Jacobi, stated “Due to many different business obligations I was considering selling for a while but wanted to leave the dealership in good hands. After having lunch with Paul and his father Dave, I knew I found the right family to continue the New York City Harley-Davidson legacy. We quickly came to terms that allowed Paul to take over ownership of the Flagship store in Long Island City while I was able to continue operations of the Manhattan ARO. I wish Paul and his family all the best in the future.”
Paul’s newly branded dealer group, PVM Enterprises, now owns nine Harley-Davidson dealerships and will sell over 12,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles this coming year. This continues to strengthen its position as the largest new bike volume Harley-Davidson group in the world as he looks to acquire additional dealerships in 2021.
