For all those techy riders who want to take full advantage of their infotainment system’s features, Harley-Davidson has just released their Boom! Audio Music and Communications Kit. Fitting 2014-later Street Glide and Street Glide Special models as well as 2015-later Road Glide and Road Glide Special models, this kit allows you to add a discreet, tank-mounted port that connects the rider to the Boom! Box via a 7-pin DIN
communications headset. Once linked, riders have headphone access to music, helmet microphone activation of voice recognition and full use of the handsfree features of the Boom! Box Radio. The kit includes the wiring harness, rider plug-in ports, a weatherproof under-seat port cover and all required mounting hardware. Carrying a MSRP of $69.95, a Dealer Digital Technician software update (sold separately) is necessary to complete the install.
