The Sturgis Rally is the most iconic biker gathering in the world, and attending it means something different depending on what experiences you pursue while in the Black Hills. If you’re looking for action, the Sturgis Buffalo Chip has carved out what it calls “The Best Party Anywhere,” which is a bold claim backed up by the Sturgis Rally after-movie produced by Ron “Woody” Woodruff and his crew at the Chip from the 84th edition of the Sturgis rally.
“It’s this own universe,” said Kelly Yazdi, a famous female biker who has been coming to the Chip for years. “It’s like its own culture within the Sturgis Rally.”
This nicely produced video includes a road trip segment, some dragracing, a flame thrower, and Daredevil Wednesday action, including stunt shows and the Ives Brothers Wall of Death. Then there’s the obligatory trip to a bikini bike wash and the pond known as Bikini Beach, all interlaced by some spectacular drone footage.
The Chip is home to the biggest concerts at the rally, and this video shows concerts and interviews with artists like Dasha, Buckcherry, and Jelly Roll. The video also features a segment about the Biker Belles ride featuring our friends Gevin Fax and Yazdi.

The recent Camp Zero looks to be the most entertaining spot at the Chip, where partygoers compete in barrel racing, the plank ride, and the notorious weenie bite. A highlight of the Sturgis Rally after-movie was the debut of the Monster Chopper, a gargantuan bike with massive 180-lb tires on either end!
If you weren’t at the Chip this year, sit back and check out what you missed.
