The long wait is almost over. The highly-anticipated 2019 Indian FTR 1200 and FTR 1200 S is slated to arrive in U.S. and Canadian dealerships in mid-May, according to a recent press release from the Minnesota-based manufacturer.
First debuted in Cologne, Germany in early October, the all-new liquid-cooled V-twin motorcycle aims to build off the success of Indian’s FTR 750 purpose-built race bike, which is a back-to-back reigning American Flat Track Manufacturer’s Champion.
With its race-inspired design and nimble handling and upright riding position, the motorcycle is expected to usher in a new era for the motorcycle company.
The street-legal bike comes with a 1203cc V-twin engine making approximately 120 hp and 85 ft/lbs of torque. Despite a seriously strong engine, it was designed to be light.
The FTR 1200 will cost $13,499 with the FTR 1200 S at $15,499.
All factory accessories, including the Tracker, Sport, Rally and Tour Collections, will also be available as motorcycles arrive in dealerships, the press release said.
