In 2002 Dale Walksler founded the Wheels Through Time Museum in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. After nearly a decade of hosting tens of thousands of visitors, the Museum’s Board of Directors has decided to relocate the facility in order to expand its scope and broaden its impact.

WTT is one of the premier museums of its type currently housing over 320 of America’s rarest and most significant two- and four-wheeled vehicles along with a huge collection of art and memorabilia that dates to our country’s transportation infancy. WTT was recently presented with one of TripAdvisor.com highest awards – The 2011 Certificate of Excellence – for consistent quality feedback from the Museum’s guests. The move is designed to fulfill the Museum’s mission to educate and inspire a multi-generational audience concerning the history of American transportation. Relocating to a new and larger location will insure this goal and secure the museum’s future.

WTT is presently researching potential relocation sites around the country and has received great interest from some of America’s best riding destinations and scenic areas. The Museum will remain open until the end of October 2011.
