Thrills and spills of flat track racing set for Lee & Rose Warner Coliseum

St. Paul, Minn., Oct. 31—Authentic Indoor Flat Track motorcycle racing is returning to the Twin Cities for the second year on March 22, 2019 to kick-off the largest custom bike and car show weekend in the Midwest, the Donnie Smith Show—Midwest Extravaganza! Last year’s show was a breakout success nearly reaching attendance capacity, proving that the hunger for this style of racing action has never gone away in the Twin Cities. Tickets are now on sale for the War of the Twins II. All seats and VIP boxes are assigned by reservation only. The best seats will be purchased first, so enthusiasts are encouraged to make reservations early. Tickets are available for $15 in advance online. The first 500 children 12 and under in the door accompanied by a parent will receive free entry, two free children admissions per adult ticket purchase. VIP box seating tickets are an additional $25. Reservations may be made here: IndoorFlatTrack.com/tickets.

There’s nothing like the sound, fury or speed of flat track bikes launching off the stripe or ripping down the straightaway. Thirteen seasons, from 1968 to 1980, the revered Minneapolis Armory hosted “The Indoors,” indoor flat track racing that filled otherwise dreary winter months with handlebar-to-handlebar, down-and-dirty race action. Over those years, hundreds of privateer racers found a home in which to compete. As one of the largest, most successful and longest-running flat track events, The Indoors put the sport on the map. The Twin Cities welcomed the heart-pounding thunder of indoor flat track racing back again last March at the Lee & Rose Warner Coliseum on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

Sponsoring the Indoor Flat Track races are GEICO Motorcycle, Russ Brown, Sturgis Buffalo Chip, Lucas Oil and S&S Cycle.
