Big pistons pump a lot of air, so high-performance engines deserve optimum airflow. It all starts at the intake, and that’s where the S&S Cycle Tuned Induction Air Cleaner kit steps in to allow Harley Milwaukee-Eights to breathe easier.
Facing the wind are a pair of exposed air filters that are washable and reusable. They feed gorgeous laser-cut stainless-steel tubing for smooth intake tracts, which merge into a single collector. S&S claims a 44% increase in airflow compared to restrictive stock airboxes.
According to S&S, it offers “maximum performance for your engine, ample room for your leg to sit tightly against the body of your M-8 Touring or Softail model, and a stylish package.”
Fortunately, the induction system is exempt from CARB’s emissions-tampering regulations, so there are no restrictions on installing these systems in any state. Unfortunately, the system won’t fit Twin-Cooled Harleys or bikes equipped with fairing-lower gloveboxes.
