Cape Girardeau, Mo., Aug. 15—Riders rolled on into Missouri Wednesday night with some news from Cannonball organizers—due to weather and road construction Stages 1, 3 and 4 had their end point arrival times extended. Additionally, the organizers decided to make these extensions permanent, and the extra time was retroactively applied to Stage 2.
As the Race of the Century continues, the number of riders with perfect runs ticks down, leaving only 23 perfect scores intact.
