MEDINA, MINN., FEB. 18—The annual V-Twin Expo in Cincinnati attracts the industry’s biggest players each year. And since the Expo’s inception in 2001, the V-Twin Awards ceremony has recognized aftermarket companies and industry leaders who continue to push the envelope with new and innovative products that generate buzz throughout the V-Twin world. At this year’s 14th annual V-Twin Awards, Polaris Vice President of Motorcycles Steve Menneto was honored as Industry Leader of the Year.
“Steve did an excellent job leading his team in the re-launch of Indian Motorcycle,” Says Paisano Publications Editor Dave Nichols. “The Indian brand has been beaten up in the past, so lots of people held their breath as the new models were introduced. It was clear right away that Polaris was committed to Indian Motorcycle and managed by a visionary leader.”
In his acceptance speech Menneto mentioned the momentum and excitement in the entire motorcycle industry. “2013 was an incredible year for American V-Twin motorcycles,” said Menneto. “Victory celebrated fifteen years, our friends in Milwaukee revealed their work from the past few years and the Indian team launched the exciting new line-up of Indian Motorcycles in Sturgis. 2014 in going to be a great year for all of us, and I genuinely appreciate this award and receive it on behalf of both teams at Victory and Indian Motorcycle.”
