Santa Monica, Calif. (August 17, 2012) – Advanstar Communications has expanded its Progressive International Motorcycle Shows (IMS) nationwide tour to include two new markets popular with those who love motorcycling—Atlanta and Indianapolis.

The newly expanded Progressive IMS series is set to launch its 2012-2013 nationwide tour November 2-4, at the Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, and then continues across the country for a total of 13 stops. The new show in Indianapolis, taking place February 15-17, at the Lucas Oil Stadium, will be co-located with the Dealer Expo and combined will create the ultimate two-wheeled destination over President’s Day weekend.

“Motorcycle manufacturers, aftermarket retailers and riders have been enthusiastic about the expanded reach, and increased exposure the two new key motorcycle markets, Atlanta and Indianapolis, will provide to their brands and their experience,” said Advanstar Executive Vice President Danny Phillips. “Top manufacturers including BMW, Harley-Davidson, Suzuki, Triumph and more have already confirmed their participation for the full 32nd annual Progressive IMS tour, and we expect to announce the participation of other major OEMs shortly.

The 2012-2013 tour cities represent the densest motorcycle populations in the United States, reaching nearly 75% of the nation’s motorcycle enthusiasts. The tour schedule offers attendees the unique opportunity to be the first to see the newest models, speak with knowledgeable product experts and be well prepared for the upcoming riding season.
