Aidan Seeger, the 6-year-old son of Bobby and Elisa Seeger, has been diagnosed with a deadly disease—adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD). Bobby and Elisa, the owners of Indian Larry Motorcycles in Brooklyn, New York, received the diagnosis just a few weeks ago. ALD is a rare and fast-moving brain disorder that destroys nerve cells, and presents many debilitating symptoms as it progresses, leading to death within a few years. But you can help save this sweet, blue-eyed boy!

A doctor at the University of Minnesota agreed to perform an experimental treatment that will include chemotherapy, radiation and potentially a bone-marrow transplant. Aidan’s 4-year-old sister Sienna was tested but is not a match, so the Seegers are still looking for a match for Aidan. A bone-marrow drive was held at P.S. 154 in Brooklyn, and two more are scheduled in Brooklyn: July 19 at Our Lady of Angels Church in Bay Ridge and July 21 at St. Saviour School in Park Slope.

As you can imagine, Aidan’s treatments are quite expensive. Buckcherry and friends will hold a benefit concert for Aidan on August 11 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg (Brooklyn). For more information and tickets, go to www.musichallofwilliamsburg.com/event/51541/?utm_source=fb1&utm_medium=shr

Also, from now until September 15, raffle tickets for a Panasonic 50” Flat Screen TV are being sold for $20. You can send a check payable to Aidan Seeger, and send it to Aidan Seeger c/o Anna Scala, 2323 63rd St., Brooklyn, NY 11204. The drawing will be held September 15. You can also make a donation to help with medical expenses, making a check payable to Aidan Seeger. Mail your donation to Aidan Seeger c/o R. Veglak, 120 Antonia Court, Lincroft, NJ 07738. You can also donate through PayPal at bobby@indianlarry.com.
