DAYTONA BEACH, FLA., SEPT. 5—The 2014 Transcontinental Motorcycle Cannonball Endurance Run got underway this morning with participants taking off from the shores of Daytona Beach en route to Tacoma, Washington, for a total of 3,938 grueling miles aboard motorcycles of all marques built prior to 1937.
