Amidst the riding, racing and all-night parties, Thunder Press is proud to present the Road Grub Throwdown – an inaugural cooking competition taking place at the Buffalo Chip during the legendary Sturgis rally.
This one-of-a-kind event unites the food and motorcycle world through a five-day themed-cooking competition. From chili cook-offs to a hot wing competition, to steak and burgers, pitmasters will get the opportunity to show their chef’s chops in front of thousands of bikers and an expert panel of judges from the culinary and powersports industries.
Held between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm and emceed by author and TV personality Ray Lampe, aka Dr. BBQ, daily winners will be announced with plenty of prizes given away. Come fill your belly with delicious meat and drink before heading to the Chip’s all-star musical lineup that includes Styx, Collective Soul, Dee Snider, Snoop Dogg and Toby Keith, to name a few.
