After a 17-year tour hiatus, S&S Cycle has announced a new tour for 2025 called the S&S Cycle Vintage Tour, featuring six talented builders working with three of S&S’s vintage powerplants. The tour starts at Daytona Bike Week, Feb. 28, before continuing to other bike shows and events throughout the year.
S&S Cycle is not new to tours, starting in 2003 when it released its 145ci V-Twin that was showcased in five custom bikes that toured in the S&S Cycle truck throughout the year. That original tour was followed by the 124 Tour, the Shovel Tour, the World Builders Showcase Tour, and the S&S 50th Anniversary.
“In years past, S&S worked closely with industry leaders and builders in celebration of creativity and teamwork within the V-Twin industry,” said Brett Smith, director of S&S Cycle. “Each project we pursued was memorable and a bonding event for S&S Cycle, the builders, enthusiasts, and the industry alike.”

This year’s S&S Cycle Vintage Tour will showcase three of S&S’s vintage powerplants: Knuckleheads (KN-series), Panheads (P-series), and Shovelheads (SH-series). The six builders on tap have no rules and are expected to create some really special bikes for this tour.
Kevin “Teach” Baas (Vintage Bike Addition) and Chip Kastelnik (San Diego Customs) will have Knuckleheads to work with.

P-series Panheads will be used for the builds created by Brian Klock (Klock Werks) and Chris Callen (Cycle Source).

Mike Beland (A1 Cycles) and Xavier Muriel (Providence Cycle Worx) will use Shovelhead SH-series powerplants.

“Our aim in rejuvenating these builds is to reestablish that creativity and teamwork and have a whole lot of fun,” Smith continued. “I want to thank Howard Kelly for returning to S&S and taking on the responsibility of leading our marketing department and the Vintage Tour. Teach, Chip, Brian, Chris, Mike, and Xavier, thank you for your time, effort, and creativity. Now, let’s go have fun and share what you’ve built with everyone else!”
The bikes will debut at Daytona Bike Week on Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. in the J&P Cycles lot at Destination Daytona. After that, the bikes will tour at the Donnie Smith Show, Born Free California, and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
