Cardo Systems, the company that makes helmet communicators like the Packtalk Pro and Packtalk Edge, has announced a rebranding of its app with a new name and upgraded features, as well as a new look and feel while on the app. The app will now be called Cardo Ride.

Previously called Riser, the app was acquired by Cardo in 2023 and allows riders to track their rides, discover new routes, plan rides, and interact with a global community.

The Cardo Ride app has been upgraded with the following features:

  • An Upgraded Newsfeed – a more dynamic, personalized stream highlighting rides, stories, updates, and community moments
  • A New reWind Experience – a fast, social-ready ride recap that lets riders instantly share their journey highlights on a 3D map
  • A Group for All Cardo Riders – a space for riders to connect, share “Supercurvy” routes, and maximize their comms technology
  • A Seamless Link Back to Cardo Connect – enabling riders to move smoothly between ride experiences and device controls, creating a unified, effortless journey (Cardo Connect is a separate app that manages device setup, pairing, and system settings)

Those who have already been using Riser will see their profiles carried over into the new app, including their ride history and community connections. Cardo also claims that more feature updates and integrations will be announced soon.

“For years, Cardo has led the way in motorcycle rider communication,” said Alon Lumbroso, CEO of Cardo Systems. “With Cardo Ride, we’re taking that leadership further by linking every ride, every story, every new route, and the entire riding community to expand the Cardo ecosystem.”

While the Cardo Ride app offers many features with a basic free membership, the Pro membership adds a few extras, including the PackRide feature, exclusive offers, offline maps, reWind 3.0 (3D rendered video of your rides), live tracking, and more. A Pro subscription can be had for $8.99 billed monthly or $29.99 for the year.

Riders who use a Cardo Systems comms device can visit the Cardo Ride website to get started.
