Milwaukee has embraced metal flake in a big way of late, with their Hard Candy Custom cosmetic treatments the most newsworthy development of the 2013 model lineup. The same retro concept has now been applied to headgear with the introduction of the new Women’s Chase Glitter Flake Helmet—but that’s the only thing retro about the product. All other features are utterly up to date, starting with a lightweight polycarbonate shell, a removable and washable liner, zip-off neck curtain, and a pair of rear-exit vents. And it all weighs in at a mere two pounds. The glitter is applied to the whole works, including the dashing graphics, and $175 will buy you any size from XS to 2XL.
