Street smart
These 430 Series Shocks from Progressive Suspension are described as “street-rod styled” by the manufacturer and that’s an understatement, but these units are about a lot more than looks. They feature high-pressure gas mono tubes with deflective disc damping for superb road handling, and threaded preload adjusters for dialing in ride quality without the use of tools. The 430 Series are also the first shocks of their kind to use machined aluminum spring perches. They’re offered in either a chrome finish or black anodized with machined accents.

The Forward Footboard Brackets from Wild Bill’s Cycles offer long-legged riders a simple way to get their boots out a full two inches farther in front of them for more stretch and comfort over the long miles. The advantage they offer over merely bolting on a set of highway pegs for more stretch is in providing a more natural riding posture while keeping your feet at the controls for quick braking and shifting. Available in cast or black powder coat finish, the brackets work on any 1989–present Tourer model—though the fairing lowers on Ultra Classic Electra Glides have to be altered or removed to accommodate the forward footboard position. To complete the transformation, extended brake and shift levers are recommended. The price is $139.99 for a set.

Short notice
One look at the Zoomies Exhaust from Hacker Pipes and you can’t help but wonder if there was a bet involved in their design process—a bet having to do with how short they could make a header and still incorporate three steps. Starting at 1.75″ and stepping up quickly to 2.5″, the Zoomies also incorporate a lot of attitude and what the manufacturer describes as a “vicious sound” into a short package. This system is designed for ’06–’08 Victory Kingpins and ’05–’08 Hammers and Jackpots and comes with full heat shields and your choice of finish including bright chrome and black ceramic. They’re fitted with a small core to maintain midrange performance and cost $679.
