With an eye—or, rather, ear—to improving sound quality at highway speeds, Harley-Davidson introduces their new Audio High Performance Boom! Bagger Tour-Pak Rear Speakers. The injection-molded woofer cones come with high-flux Neodymium magnets and grill-mounted tweeters that improve high-frequency response. Vibration tested and fully waterproof, these 5 1/4″ diameter speakers have a greater sensitivity and provide a louder output than OEM speakers at the same volume level. They are a direct replacement for the factory speakers on 2006–later Touring models with the Advanced Audio Radio System and Touring models equipped with Tour-Pak Mounted Speakers P/N 77155-06. For $149.95, the kit includes the speakers, electric crossovers and all needed plug-and-play connections.

Harley’s new Premium Ride, Hand-Adjustable Low Touring Shocks take a completely different engineering approach by splitting the compression and rebound damping between the left and right units. Originally introduced on the CVO Street Glide, these rear shocks are nitrogen-charged and replace the OEM air-adjustable components on other Touring models. This unique setup offers a soft spring on the right side to handle the compression, while a stiff spring on the left takes care of the rebound. Oversize 40mm diameter pistons and 14mm rods supply a sturdy assembly that provides fast reaction to impacts while reducing harsh shocks from being transferred through the chassis. A hydraulic adjuster regulates the level of spring preload and is controlled by a knob behind the left saddlebag. The pair carries a price tag of $499.95.

Slick solutions
With riders casting a watchful eye on finances, many are opting to perform simpler maintenance chores rather than hiring the services of their local dealer. Harley-Davidson has addressed these needs of the shade-tree wrench by introducing their new Primary Oil Fill Funnel and Transmission/Crankcase Fill Funnel. Fabricated with an extended tip and shaped to fit into tight access points, the combination transmission/ crankcase spout ($4.95) features an anti-burp design to reduce any oil spills. But the primary oil fill funnel ($9.95) is a true wonder, with its patent-pending shape that simply but effectively snaps into the open derby cover cavity and allows for hands-free operation. Both funnels have a smooth plastic surface for easy cleanup.

Combining terrific styling with engineering upgrades, the new PowerFlo Air Intake System by Cobra Engineering is sure to capture some fans. The PowerFlo unit utilizes an internal venturi system that squeezes the entering air stream. This process lowers the air pressure but actually increases the flow rate, creating an additional vacuum separate from the engine vacuum and improving performance across the power band. Aiding in obtaining the maximum CFM, a high flow K&N element is part of the package. The aluminum bell cover is available in either chrome or black and features stainless steel wire mesh inserts covering the filter’s dual intakes. Due to the increased air flow, a digital fuel tuner is recommended to be used in conjunction with the PowerFlo. Designed to fit all H-D air-cooled V-Twins, the PowerFlo carries an MSRP of $249.95.
