A total redesign of the popular 100″ & 110″ Big Bore Kit by S&S Cycle has produced the new 4″ Sidewinder Big Bore Kit Update. Inspired by the company’s Pro Stock Drag Race engines, S&S has developed a unique formula of ductile iron cylinder liner that decreases wear characteristics while allowing increased contact between liner and aluminum cylinder for optimal thermal conductivity and performance. The kit works well with stock heads and, since it is a bolt-in install, no machining is required and the engine does not have to be removed. Bumping 1999–2006 Twin Cam 88 engines up to 100 c.i. and 2007–’17 Dyna and Softail models and 2007–’16 Touring Harleys to 110 c.i., compression ratio is 10.5:1. Available in either wrinkle black or silver finish, the kit sells for $1,099.95 and includes cylinders, pistons, gaskets and instructions.
