Working in partnership with Indian Motorcycle, Swiss watchmaker Baume & Mercier has created the Clifton Club Indian Burt Munro Tribute. Designed to commemorate Munro’s extraordinary achievement at the Bonneville Salt Flats, this watch is limited to 1,967 pieces (recalling the year that Munro set his land speed record). The 44mm stainless case has a tachymeter scale on the bezel with Munro’s record of 184 mph highlighted. The chronograph seconds counter displays Munro’s lucky number 35 while the counterbalance of the seconds hand features the Indian Motorcycle “I” script logo. The silver dial is sandblasted to mimic the surface of the Salt Flats and the vermillion red calfskin strap identifies with Indian Motorcycle as well as the color of Munro’s Scout Streamliner. It also features a sapphire crystal, is self-winding and water resistant and carries the Indian headdress logo engraved on the back. But all those unique features come at a price with the MSRP being $3,750.
