The Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival is right around the corner, coming to Milwaukee in July to celebrate 120 years of Harley-Davidson. However, there’s still plenty to see and do at the Harley-Davidson Museum in June, including the Mama Tried exhibit, a Father’s Day celebration, and the Wild Ones: Vintage Motorcycle Rally, along with the H-D Factory Outlet Summer Sale.

The Mama Tried: Bringing It Together exhibit honors the builders, racers, and their fans who gather at the annual Mama Tried Motorcycle Show every winter to stave off the winter blues. Beginning June 17, the exhibit at the Harley-Davidson Museum will have crazy custom bikes, restored vintage machines, and even a rare 1929 FHAC with FLXI Sidecar Factory Racer.

After Mama Tried, the museum gives some love to Dad in the form of its Father’s Day celebrations. On June 18, dads get free admission to the museum, and the Motor Bar & Restaurant will offer dads the chance to score a free grill special, including a Usinger’s hot dog or bratwurst with potato salad and coleslaw, when they buy a beverage.

On June 24, the Wild Ones: Vintage Motorcycle Rally will celebrate the MoCo’s history and heritage with a vintage 1940s-style gathering on the museum’s campus. The show is put on in partnership with The Knucklehead Company’s Annual Reunion and will feature an antique motorcycle ride-in show, boonie bike races, and field games hosted by the AMCA Badger Heritage Chapter, and proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Wisconsin.
